Daniel Durning is a native New Yorker, artist, educator, and new media designer.

He is a full time Assistant Professor of computer graphics and animation in the
Fine Arts Department of the New York Institute of Technology in Manhattan.

His most recent projects include the development of his own radio show
Art and Technology, Discussions with Visual and Sound Artists
in conjunction with MOMA's ground breaking internet radio station
WPS1
, www.wps1.org.

Daniel Durning is dedicated to the promotion of digital art and animation in New
York City where he has helped to set up numerous events for the NYC computer graphics community including being MetroCAF organizer and 2003 & 2004 and 2005 Chair. The Metropolitan Area College Computer Animation Festival
is
the first annual New York City juried computer animation competition open to all metropolitan area college students and this year's event marks it's 5th consecutive year.

He was also Conference Developer for The Digital Sculpture Conference held
Nov. 15-18, 2001, Engine 27, Franklin Street, NYC as part of the
Intersculpt International Sculpture Conference.

Since 1998 he has been an elected member of the
Board of Directors of NYC ACM SIGGRAPH.
